To the south, you will find the river valley of the Gelderse IJssel with the beautiful Havikerwaard where the river regularly bursts its banks in winter. Where countless meadow and water birds from all over the world forage.

Water sports enthusiasts and swimmerscan indulge themselves in the extensive water sports area Rhederlaag, accessible via the bicycle ferry across the IJssel near Rheden. ( 10 min. cycling)

As far as nature is concerned, the Boskam is all right.

Who does not know the Veluwezoom Nationaal Park with among other things, the Posbank with its rugged and heathland areas.

Or the woods (Onzalige bossen) where the wild boars leave their mark so clearly, or a lavely sloping area like the Patchwork with the famous Carolina farm where you can order delicious pancakes.

By car or bicycle you are in no time in the historic Hanseaticcities along the IJssel Doesburg and Zutphen.

The tiny museum town of Bronkhorst is definitely worth a visit.
